Adoption Day Celebration. First Lady Anne Holton will attend the City of Richmond’s 9th Annual Adoption Day, which celebrates adoptions finalized in the previous year.

Wednesday, November 25
Tax Tribute Ceremony. Governor Timothy M. Kaine and First Lady Holton will accept tribute from members of the Mattaponi and Pamunkey tribes at an annual ceremony. In keeping with the treaties of 1646 and 1677, the tribes make an annual offering to the Governor, traditionally the day before Thanksgiving, in lieu of paying taxes.
